Always a Soldier...

I am the Chief Operating Officer for Military Women In Power. Ltd, an organization formed to provide aid to Female Soldiers/Veterans. May 2010, I joined the group MVW Military Veteran Women social group in their 2nd meeting, operated by Carmen Rodriguez, CEO, a former US Army Recruiter. We wanted to give our group a better name and I proposed the name Military Women In Power, which the group unanimously voted on. On April 3, 2012, we corporated as a Not for Profit incorporation. We are a 100% volunteer program with no invested interest in any of the services we provide for anyone who seek our assistance... We’re not CITY, STATE OR FEDERAL FUNDED... it’s totally an out of personal pocket cost to us. We are a Military Women Outreach Task Force helping Female Soldiers/Veterans and their family who are desolate and despondent. We troubleshoot their needs then provide immediate and emergency assistance. We advocate on their behalf, provide immediate resources through referrals and/or physically representing them and their families. We don’t have a Membership fee but there's a Military Women In Power commitment and that is to provide the same humanitarian service she received from us to another female soldier in need when called upon. It’s a total "Paying it Forward", internal Soldier to Soldier sponsorship program, lean on each other for support and this camaraderie has caught the attention of many.
